I made an eclispe panorama as well in august 1999 in Normandy France. My
approach was different. As I used a Roundshot I figured out that the total
time to make a 400 degree pano would be 2 minutes. As the eclipse almost
started, about 30 seconds before, I started my camera. As the eclipse
progressed the camerea turned round and when it finaly arrived at the same
spot where it started the eclipse was total there too so the left and rigth
are totaly different as you can see at
