wwp@yahoogroups.com:
My submission

Having missed the last few events I was determined to join in this
time, though my schedule left very little time to travel for this
shoot... but the theme excited me, and it all worked out. I decided to
capture, again, an antiwar protest, a scene of incredible energy and
passion, in downtown Los Angeles on September 24, several years after
my first WWPano submission showed a related protest in Hollywood.
Unfortunately some technical problems didn't help - the battery grip on
my camera had some lose contacts which results in losing a number of
frames critical to about half a dozen of the panos I shot, so most of
those are going to take a lot of extra work to clone in the missing
detail. Fortunately the hardest shot, in a moving crowd with my tripod
held high above my head and spun quickly, seems to have worked (IMHO!)
and so I'm setting about fixing the many ghosting artifacts and a few
minor parallax problems (I was surprised at how close a stitch i got,
considering the technique!). In order to better demonstrate the energy
of the event I recorded audio all day and will be cutting it down to a
usable soundtrack - right now this is all a very rough draft, but gives
some idea for my submission. Any comments most welcome!
