New Forum for VR Discussions

WWP members,
There's been a bit of discussion lately on this list that isn't
really related to the World Wide Panorama. I'd like to suggest a new
and better place to take discussions like this. The new IQTVRA forum
is open to everyone in the community and would be ideal for this type
of discussion.

A forum is a little different than a mailing list. Both have their
advantages, but I think the IQTVRA forum would be better for
discussions like these for a couple reasons. In addition to being
searchable (in a much easier way than Yahoo Groups), it's also easier
to follow threads. If you like receiving an email when a post is
made to a thread you're following, you can subscribe to it.
There are several places that we in the VR community have to discuss
topics related to VR, but most of them are for a specific purpose.
The Apple QTVR list is generally related directly to QuickTime, the
PanoTools list is for PanoTools related threads, RealViz and Stitcher
both have their forums, and the WWP has this mailing list. In order
to follow general VR related discussions one has to subscribe to all
of these and search all of them for previously discussed topics.
I'd suggest that the new IQTVRA forum would be a great place to
discuss general topics (like Digital Projection or Guiness Records)
and open it to the entire VR community.
I'd like to invite all of you, whether you're a member of the IQTVRA
or not, to join the IQTVRA forum and discuss VR related topics to
your heart's content.
