A little Raynox report
Bjørn K Nilssen 2006-Apr-04 13:54:00
As we had a thread discussing the fisheye from Raynox, DCR-CF185PRO, I just
thought that I should post a little "user report" :)
I got it yesterday, and so far it has been working great on my C-7070WZ. Very
sharp and nice images, and they do stitch pretty fine with PTgui.
One problem is that the camera resets the zoom to full wide every time I turn
it off, and then it's difficult to get exactly the same zoom next time. If I
leave it at 27mm the circle gets quite small in the middle of the image. Not
quite in the middle though.. I wonder if it's important to crop them exactly
circular?
Another problem is that PTgui has some problems generating CPs, so I often have
to add some more manually. But it's still a lot less work than with the 18mm
lens :) It's a lot easier to add CPs to normal photos though..
Thanks for the great work you're doing with the wwp :)
But what happened to the Mitad del Mundo pano, from Ecuador/Equator?
As Ecuador has equinox every day, every year, somehow the date it was made
doesn't matter (if that was why it didn't show up.) ;-)--
