WWP Community is Now Live!

Just in time for the beginning of the day for our friends in
Australia, the WWP Community website is now live!
We currently have 207 panoramas from this event bringing our total to
almost 3,500. I expect several more to be contributed during the
late editing period which has now started (email me if you had
requested it but not received an email yet). Once again, there have
been some fabulous interpretations of the theme. I'm surprised how
often we come back to cemeteries - almost no matter the theme. They
are very photogenic. (We really need to consider adding keywords to
the site.)
Don and I were notably absent during the run-up and execution of this
event. As you know we were both running an actual community
gathering and having a great time doing it and meeting many of you in
person. But Markus Altendorff was here holding down the fort and I
want to thank him once again for the wonderful job of making everyone
else's so much easier. Also special thanks to Pat Swovelin, Carl von
Einem, Caroling, Shawn Steigner, and others for answering questions
and drumming up participation. The WWP is a wonderful community in
and of itself!
The next event is Sustenance (19-23 September 2007). Hopefully we'll
have a good essay giving you lots of ideas, but since the 'Coming
Soon' line tends to linger a little long, I put a short paragraph
about Sustenance on the next event page. My usual suggestion if
you're at a loss for an idea is to translate the English definition
into your preferred language and interpret it as you'd like.
Sustenance seems narrow at first, but it's probably one of the widest
themes we've had yet.
Thank you all for your contributions: past, present, and future.
