wwp@yahoogroups.com: Help: how to create a reasonably sharp QTVR? Fulvio Senore 2004-Mar-26 11:40:00
I have created my cylindrical QTVR pano (thanks to the list for
helping) using GoCubic (I have also tried VRMakePano but it is more
complicated and is seems to be an older version of the same program).

I have created a full screen version (8000x1456 pixels) and I am
satisfied with the result: the image is sharp and the file size is
1600Kb, so it should be ok.

I have problems with the smaller version. The image is 3000x544
pixels, 473 Kb: it should not be too compressed.
If I open the .mov file the image looks blurred: the stitched image
is much sharper.

It seems that I am not the only one having similar problems. Probably
many people, like me, are using QTVR for the first time for the WWP.

I do not have experience with QTVR so I am asking for help: I suppose
that it is possible to create a decent small QTVR cylindrical file,
so there must be some trick, maybe related to the size of the
starting image.

If somebody would share some information about creating a good QTVR
file in Windows it should be useful to many of us, I believe.

Thanks in advance.
