How about bio-diversity? I keep reading or hearing various claims
about biodiversity in certain regions. Also the fact that our culture
diminishes biodiversity is not good. Since I don't know how I would
get biodiversity into a pano I web searched on "photograph
biodiversity". Didn't get to all 337,000 results. Some just seemed
"bio". Then found "what is biodiversity?". Biodiversity is the
variety of life forms: the different plants, animals and micro-
organisms, the genes they contain and the ecosystems they form.
Searching on Florida biodiversity I found an article about my area
listing rare, endangered and threatened species. "Florida Panhandle,
a biodiversity hot spot." Google wonders if it should be hotspot.
Then I remembered that the pitcher plants come out in spring and I
know some good sites. I think I've got my idea. But if I do one plant
I won't show diversity, even though I know it contributes to
diversity. If the plants aren't good I could look at Eglin Air Force
Base where threatened lichens live. See if I can find them.
In short, I'll combine learning something new about where I live with
exploring outdoors and see what I can see.
