Trouble uploading equilateral

I get an 'error on page' whenever I try to upload the equilateral version of my panorama. The jpg is 5394x2697px and 4.8mB size so file size or dimensions well within limits. I have a QT version from this @ 2.2mb size which uploads fine. I did delete this before trying the equilateral option. Any thoughts?
Also interested to know if the automatic generation of the full-screen qt and flash versions will shrink the original file sizes and if so roughly by how much. I personally am hoping to keep my full-screens around the 2mB mark as like many, I'm not a fan of unnecessary large files.
