Speaking of bugs. I lived at Fairbanks Alaska for couple of years. One summer weekend I flew [in a Cessna 172] 2 people over to Fort Yukon. I see today it is 55?f or 13?c in Fort Yukon today. I rode in the back of a pickup truck into town. I looked through the cab window to see the speedometer - we were going 35 miles per hour along the dirt road. There was a swarm of large winged mosquitos going the same speed as the truck !

A couple of mosquitos made a swoop down to attack my arm. I jerked my arm away just in time and they both CRASHED ON THE TRUCK !!!

It is true the mosquito swarm was actually keeping up with the truck speed.

Fort Yukon, Alaska is above the Artic Circle at
66? 34' 04.63" N
145? 15' 30.99 W

After Fairbanks, we moved to the Philippines. Better weather in the PI.
