wwp@yahoogroups.com: Conference day at Photokina janwoning 2010-Sep-09 13:00:00
VR Photography Live @ Photokina Conference day

Part of the IVRPA's mission and reason for existence is to provide education in the field of VR Photography. This is why we run semi-regular conferences in the USA and Europe. This being a Photokina year, we decided to organise a one-day event before the Photokina fair (20th September), with an optional tutorial day following the conference (21st September).

The conference will include sessions on a range of subjects, especially new software and hardware, new markets opened up by the iPhone and iPad, as well as exhibits by our sponsors.

We've just negotiated a HUGE PRICE DROP from the original conference fee by reducing the food supplied and catering budget with the official Photokina caterers. The conference fee has been cut to 75 euro for early bird members.

The fee covers the costs for AV equipment, refreshments during the day, lunch with bread rolls and a reception with free drinks and snacks, all included. To allow you time to take advantage of the even better price, we have extended the early bird period until 4 days before the VR Photography Live @ Photokina, Thursday September 16.

Go to http://photokina10.ivrpa.org/schedule-detailed to look at the schedule and other information or to http://photokina10.ivrpa.org/registration to register, and do it now as there are only 7 days left for this special offer!

We will show how CGI and Gigapixel panoramas are made, how to earn money with news VRs and panoramas. Dr. Claus, one of our sponsors and special guest, will present a world premier of new hard and software, capable of making a high resolution panorama and a photogrammetric model in one go, to create a photo realistic, image mapped 3D models.

It will be an important day for anyone to explore where VR may be heading.

After the presentations we will have a reception with free drinks and snacks from 17.00 (5 p.m.) to 19.00 (7 p.m.) where you can meet each other, talk about what you have seen during the day, socialize, and have direct contact with the sponsors. These kind of informal get-togethers are very rewarding, for those present. Don't miss out, we hope to see you there!
