wwp@yahoogroups.com: Almost there! Yahoo Account 2012-Oct-03 21:35:00
Hi all,

just a quick note that - aside from a few minor technicalities and queries - the Necessity event is almost ready. Expect it to be online within the next day. From what I've glanced through, I can only say well done (again) to all contributors!

Late Edit will open shortly after that. I'll post here again once it's open. If you need or want in on the Late Edit group, simply go to the login screen
http://contribute.worldwidepanorama.org/gen/
Right after you've logged in (and yes, you can log in any time, even outside the regular editing times!) you'll see "Do you need a late edit opportunity? [click here].
Click that, and I'll get an automated notification and your account is instantly marked for Late Edit, too.
This is the easiest and safest way to get in on the Late Edit, because it's all in the database and I don't have to do a search and one-by-one manual adjustment.
If you find you don't need it any more, either click the "Cancel the request" button that swaps with the "Click here" button, or just let the Late Edit go by. No further action required.

Next up, the Best Of 2012, with an upload opportunity near the end of 2012. Any topic or theme, only the panorama must?ve been taken any time during 2012.
Twelve weeks remain to take another look at your panorama stock and to pick your favorite unpublished one!

As 2012 draws to a close, the year-long topic "Culture" and the 2011-2012 topic "Forest" will also be open again for another round. "Culture" allows for a maximum of four entries, and "Forest" has eight slots in all. And yes, if you haven't filled these up over the course of the quarterly upload openings, you can upload more than one contribution at a time for these during the Best Of in December (or during the upcoming Late Edit - see the second paragraph above about the idea behind the "Need Late Edit" button).
