wwp@groups.io: Theme for the first 2023 event? Erik Krause 2022-Dec-19 13:54:59
Hello,

this time I want to decide for a theme before the event starts. Any Ideas?

David Schaubert sent me a long list last summer to choose from, so
please comment:

 >>
Lots of unexplored subjects out there. Here are a big pile, pick one.

Railroads (everybody likes trains!, tracks, bridges, turntables, repair
crews, signals)
Construction (equipment, human big/small, in nature i.e.
beavers/ants/gophers)
Manufacturing (anything to do with producing something from crafting to
aircraft)
Small Business (office, bakery, chocolate, welding, auto repair, tack &
harness)
Antique (subject over XXX years old, could be anything from a castle to
watches)
Cars (before all the classics are gone because of no gas, car shows,
traffic, assembly lines)
Roads (highways, paths, sidewalks)
Mountains (or lack thereof)
Valleys (in the mountains or even a city street with tall buildings)
Electricity (power transmission, generation, lightning, or even your
kitchen appliances)
Religion (no one in particular or even lack thereof; spiritualism,
construction/buildings, historical)
Smokestacks/Towers/Antennas (maybe just ?Tall?)
Arches (if you look they are everywhere; in buildings, bridges, mountains)
Ships/Boats/Navy (quays, docks, waterways, models, a kid?s tub)
Farming/Growing (tractors, fields, cows, garden plots)
Crafting (things made by hand)
Beer (pubs, breweries, drinking, with food)
Museums (they are e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e)
Conflict (lots of old battlefields, defensive construction, current
rioting, weaponry out there)
Food (what?s on the dinner table every day or for special holidays/get
togethers)
Collection/Collecting (stamps, knives, cars, beany babies)
Redux some of the old ones with lots of subject matter available;
Bridges (lot of variations; railroad, foot, highway)
Water (dams, reservoirs, lakes, rivers, rain)
   Borders (boundaries, fences, walls, race)
   Gardens (organized, disorganized, fields, flowers)
