wwp@yahoogroups.com: Help needed - Panocube under Windows XP nrmnpeters 2005-Mar-30 03:35:00
Hi All.

My submitted marketplace QTVR file was created using a Windows
product called PanaVue for its Quicktime capability, however it has
almost no fine control options in terms of file size, file locking,
etc. It was stitched using PTGUI.

It has been suggested to me to use a product called PanoCube
(remember I use Windows) instead of PanaVue to create the QTVR file
output.

I have downloaded the freeware version of PanoCube, followed all
instructions about directory paths, naming, scripting, etc, but when
I drag and drop a cubic panorama TIFF or JPEG (sized =2:1, divisible
by 4, etc) nothing happens - the black command box just sits there
and stares back at me with no dialogue, errors or any other apparent
action happening.

I realise that I have just about run out of time (2 year old, Easter
trip, etc, etc) to re-do my submission tonight if I can get PanoCube
to work, but for tht next event, can anyone either:

. send me explicit instructions on using PanoCube; or
. suggest a better shareware or freeware QT product for Windows (XP,
SP2) that I can use.

If anyone has a Windows complied version of the free code available
from Apple to produce .MOV files, I would really appreciate that too.

Looking forward to seeing all of our work on 1 April!
