No passado fim de semana mais de 250 fot?grafos, a maior parte dos
quais n?o se conhecem uns aos outros, colaboraram num projecto
internacional de fotografia. Trabalhando em 44 pa?ses pelo mundo fora,
cada um fotografou e prepararou um panorama de VR (realidade virtual)
sobre o tema "mercado". Os resultados mostram imagina??o e variedade
extraordin?rias.

Se nunca teve a experi?ncia de um panorama de VR, esta ? uma forma
excelente de ver de que se trata.  Estas imagens em computador rodam
360? para os lados, e muitas vezes tamb?m para cima e para baixo,
permitindo-lhe olhar em qualquer direc??o.  ? como se estivesse
"virtualmente" l?.

A p?gina de internet produzida por este esfor?o est? dispon?vel em
http://WorldWidePanorama.com. Pode precisar de descarregar e instalar
software Quicktime (gratuito, da Apple Computer), se ainda n?o o tiver
no seu computador.

A s?rie de eventos "World Wide Panorama", patrocinada pelo
Departamento de Computa??o Geogr?fico da Universidade de Berkeley,
est? a iniciar o segundo ano de eventos trimestrais.  Desta vez,
aconteceu no fim de semana do equin?cio, 20 de Mar?o, o primeiro dia
de primavera no hemisf?rio norte.  Os fot?grafos participantes puderam
escolher qualquer interpreta??o do tema "mercado" que lhes apelasse
pessoalmente, desde mercados de agricultores locais at? conceitos
abstractos de mercados de ideias.
