Global Landmarks Illumination
Jan van der Woning 2005-Oct-05 00:36:00
Dear all,
From a client to whom I sold a a flat 2 dimensional print of the panorama of the Pink Dam in Amsterdam, that was lit pink in oktober last year, I got the hint that this year there is going to be a new
Global Illumination Event in over more then 30 countries all over the world. Its done for the Breast Cancer Awareness.
I tried to get hold of all the locations but was not able to get all the dates when they start the illumination. So if you want to join this event by making a panorama of one of them please do and try to get hold of the dates for your city. Maybe we can post them to a website like the WWP or panoramas.dk, I have not had contact with them because of their absense during the Summit in Savannah. Even though it will make a different picture as in the normal situation and its worth while anyway to have it in the box. For me the most beautifull moment is in the twiligth zone just before sundown or rise. The Pink Dam I sold several times and is still an eyecatcher on exhibitions. Most people think I have manipulated the colors but when I explain they understand and I get more awareness for Breast Cancer and for Panoramic Imaging! I am going for the Erasmusbrug and ask you :Lets contribute
Here is the Quicktime version of the Pink Dam QTVR
I found some the locations through Google and the words "Global Illumination Breast Cancer"
Famous icons taking part in this year's Global Illumination Campaign from around the globe include:
