Now that we're in the stages of promotion of the WWP project, some of
you may not be interested in receiving quite as many emails as have
been sent over the past couple of months. You could unsubscribe, but
I'd suggest that you hold off on that if you are still interested in
the WWP.
What you can do is change your email preferences to either 'Daily
Digest' or 'No Email'. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wwp/ and
to the right in the blue bar near the top of the page you'll see
'Group Owner [Edit My Membership]'. Click on this and it will take
you to a page allowing you to change your email settings.
If you remain a member, even without email, this will still allow you
to occasionally check the group site, read the message list, post to
the list, and be ready should we do this again....
I'm not making any concrete plans right now, and certainly not
announcing anything, but I think this went pretty darn well. Now
that most of the hard work in assembling the database and the website
is done, it wouldn't be too hard to resurrect this should we decide
in the future.
You'll also notice on that on the WWP site
(http://geoimages.berkeley.edu/wwp304/index.html) there's been a date
badge added to every page. Change one graphic, add the ability to
have a separate sound file, and we could keep this going.
So, change your settings if you don't want to follow up with us on
the publicity, but I'd urge you to remain a member if you're
interested in following along at a distance. Of course, if you want
to help get the word out, by all means, stick around.
