wwp@yahoogroups.com: Monday morning update G. Donald Bain 2006-Jan-02 18:51:00
The second iteration of the site is now up. It includes five
participants who were inadvertently omitted the first time around,
and final edits of all the captions and other data.

My editing of captions was mostly spelling, grammar, capitalization,
expansion of abbreviations and acronyms, breaking up run-on
sentences, and inserting paragraph breaks. If I have introduced a
mistake into your caption please contact me.

Landis is in transit this morning. When he has settled in at home he
will announce late editing, when and how. The final version of the
site will go up late this week or early next week.

The size and complexity of the site has slowed down my press release
writing.

A simple announcement has been sent to several places within the VR
community. It assumes that people know what VR is, and what the WWP
is. Feel free to pass it on - quoted below.

The World Wide Panorama - Best of 2005
http://WorldWidePanorama.com

To celebrate the New Year 2006, over 300 VR photographers from around
the world have contributed their "best of 2005". This is the latest
edition of the World Wide Panorama, an event that is now two years
old, and has had 600 participants. The site features over 1700 VR
panoramas.

Best of 2005 showcases scenes from 52 countries. The panoramas are
listed by photographers' name, and countries and regions of the
world. There are also world and regional maps with clickable dots,
and references from each panorama to MultiMap and Google Maps.
Information about connecting WWP and Google Earth will be available
soon.
