I thought about "garden" and found it hard to define. http://www.wikipedia.org helps more than a dictionary. There are several languages. I chose English. From that page, I searched on "garden". I found good, thought-provoking descriptions and references to related topics, such as gardener and the difference between farms and gardens.
I've been pondering the idea of "seeds" and how the gardener uses and influences seeds and their growth. If I could, I would investigate the cultivation and preservation of heritage plants. I'm fascinated by the conflict between big companies wanting to patent seeds and make it so farmers can't save their own seeds for next year's crops. But that is farming. I feel a WWP theme is not so narrow as to rule out farming for a garden theme.
But my strict feeling about the theme is that the pano should show some use of materials that grow from anything like a "seed", and with cultivation (or human intervention or involvement of some sort) grows in association with competing seedlings to maturity, where it becomes a parent or seed producer. It has to promote the cycle of life in a contained way. I wonder if anyone will make a software garden with blooming artificial life forms? So far, I haven't found a garden to photograph or made one of my own. Still stuck.
