Comments and Supplements

Dear Friends,
When it comes to "hot topics" like these, I tend to always stay
on the sidelines and let the season professionals handle them.
But I'll take an exception this time and voice my opinions.
For me, the whole idea of the WWP is collaborated work. It
is not about a single individual's desire to rise from the rest.
It is our combined contributions that give it meaning. I understand
that we all need a pat in the back sometimes, the desire for
attention (it's human nature), but such things are not for the
WWP.
One of the reason that makes WWP great is its
non-judgmental, non-racial, non-sectarian, and non-gender
sensitivities to its participants. So whether your submitted
VR is fabulous or down-right crap (pardon the word), I believed
it will still be treated fairly and posted on the site by the Admins.
Improvement comes from comparing your work with others,
seeking advice and asking questions. Its putting those
new found knowledge and skills to work...and displaying
them to the world after 3 months.
Having said these, I do offer a solution to this "comment thing".
I don't know if it has been voice before, here's what I suggest:
If comments are really desired by a participant, you can always
make use of the extra URLs to link to your own site. From
there you can have your own "guest book-like" entries, and the
ease of self-administration/self-moderation. You can have a
simple text on your WWP page that says " Click this link if you
wish to make a comment on this contribution" or "Click this
link to see comments for this contributions" or something similar.
Lastly, let me just thank the Admins for a wonderful job in
hosting this event. The prestige of being a part of this project
is more than enough reward for me.
Oh, I almost forget the supplements....
