wwp@yahoogroups.com: The Next World Wide Panorama Landis 2007-Oct-25 18:34:00
The late editing has been finished for a little while now, but a
couple tweaks here and there kept me from officially declaring us
finished with Sustenance. We now have 219 contributions to
Sustenance bringing us to a grand total of 3,694 contributions by
860 photographers over the 15 event history of the WWP.

For the December event we'll be adding a bit more. We'll have
the usual 'Best of' to allow us all to show off our favorite work
from the past year. But we'll also be adding a special Wrinkle
Tribute on the 10th anniversary of the original Wrinkle in Time
event started by Rabbett in 1997.

All the official details can be found on the Next Event page
(http://geoimages.berkeley.edu/worldwidepanorama/wwp/practical/
NextEvent.html).

The basic requirement to participate in the Wrinkle Tribute will
be to be in the process of taking your panorama during the actual
solstice. Since that narrows it down to a precise moment in
time, we've decided to extend the open photography period to 12
hours either side of the solstice. So you'll have a full 24-hour
period to take your pictures.

Times across time zones get confusing so we have links on the
Next Event page to help you figure out the exact time in your
time zone. We'll be shooting from 1808 Universal Time (UT) on 21
December to 1808 UT on 22 December. We'll try to come up with
some special designation if you actually manage to take your
panorama during the exact moment of the solstice: 0608 UT 22
December.

We hope that you all will be interested in participating in both
events coming up this December.
