It's ironic that this panorama features the Sydney Opera House, as the
building's operators are quite strident in objecting to any commercial
use of photographs of the building, to which end they themselves
resort to some fairly foggy legal arguments, as explored here:

Overall I think it's a great shame that the ZKM organisers have
blundered in their handling of this issue, as from the YouTube video
the presentation of the panoramas is really quite spectacular. I'd
love to have the chance to see some of my work presented in such a
truly immersive way.
Increasingly, the way that academic institutions are funded means that
the line between educational/research use and commercial exploitation
can become very thin and vague. I think the use of some kind of non-
commercial creative commons licence may have merit here, and we could
perhaps consider whether to incorporate the assignment of such a
licence as part of the submission process to future events to simplify
any further requests of this kind.

come only some of us received the original message from ZKM. Thanks as

for your future plans.
