There will be in-browser panoramas very shortly, if there aren't
already. Panoramas and virtual tours are already up and running on the
iPhone -
here is my adaptation of the open-source code used on the 360cities
site:
http://corvidae.co.uk/panoramas/dunham/files/inner.html
Incorporates auto panning to points of interest chosen from an HTML
menu. I suppose this is one advantage our tours have in having evolved
from a QTVR presentation to FPP - a lot of the work is done in HTML
and JS, rather than building all the navigation into Flash. The basic
HTML is identical whether you're on a computer or an iPhone, but CSS
and JS do different things on different platforms.
iPad users will just see slideshows for now - I'll update the pano
code once I can get my hands on an iPad! iPhone users with OS 2 or
earlier will also see slideshows not panos, as I've heard reports that
they can't handle the 3-D transformations. If you've got an OS 2
iPhone or iPod Touch and 360cities stuff shows up OK, please let me
know and I'll amend the code.
Regards,
Richard
