wwp@yahoogroups.com:
beautiful day

It was a beautiful day. I chose to shoot the new Millennium park
(only four years late in construction). It officially opens July 18.
The construction people let me on the site and I took several
marvelous panos. I am using an old vr rig with an old digital
camera which I dug out of the closet on the day of the shoot
(haven't been shooting many of these in the past several years
although I was heavy into it when the wrinkles were going on).
The camera doesn't have a viewfinder, only the lcd. The lcd is
useless outdoors in the sun and I could barely see what I was
shooting. After I shot the panos and was indoors, I noticed that
the white balance was set to incandescent. The pictures where
all a monotone blue. It would have been wise to have practiced
with this camera before the actual shoot.
I also hoped to catch a large peace demonstration that was
going on near the John Hancock building but arrived a little late,
and they had already marched downtown. Luckily I shot a few
panos at the John Hancock building observatory so I have some
to post. Haven't gotten into the sherical ones yet but that could
change. The ones that people have done on this list are pretty
impressive.
