Subject: cross-listing on the FullScreen QTVR site

Landis and I have been discussing how the World Wide Panorama might be
cross-listed with the FullScreen QTVR site that has been recently
initiated by Marco Trezzini and Hans Nyberg:
        http://www.fullscreenqtvr.com/

The idea of FullScreen QTVR is to have galleries of thumbnails that
link to individual full screen panoramas on sites all over the world.
It is the beginning of a great site and I am very excited about it. I
think the World Wide Panorama fits in very well as one of its chapters.

The problem is that FullScreen QTVR is a commercial site, with logos
and links for VR related businesses. In organizing the World Wide
Panorama we explicitly stated that your panoramas would not be used on
any other site, or for any commercial purpose.

What we have worked out with Marco is that they (VRWay/FSQTVR) could
host thumbnails of the full-screen versions of panoramas on WWP on
theFullScreenQTVR site, with the author's name and the place. These
would link to the fullscreen pages hosted now on the GeoImages site.
Only thumbnails would appear on the FSQTVR commercial pages. The
fullscreens would be exactly as they are now.

The advantage of this is that your work would reach a wider audience,
and appear in the context of other fine VR photography from around the
world. I think it would be good for all of us.

Anyone who desires not to be listed on the FSQTVR site need only
contact me or Landis (#removed#, #removed#).

I would like to have some discussion among participants before giving
Marco a full go-ahead on this. Please post your comments to the list:
