wwp@yahoogroups.com: Cylindrical Panoramas, Repeat Photography & Change Detection Margaret & Dean Graetz 2005-Feb-24 05:27:00
Folks,

I want to tap the wisdom and experience of list members.

As an amateur, I work with Mac OS (X) and Nikon D100 in the
Australian outback landscapes - red earth, blue skies, no people -
wanting to create ONLY cylindrical panoramas.

My purpose is to capture and communicate a sense of place,
and to detect and interpret change - both by using repeat cylindrical
panoramas.

	I have two questions.

	(1) Is Quicktime VR Authoring Studio the best available
software for Mac OS?

	(2) Can you provide any references to where repeat
photography - panoramas at two times - have been created and used to
show change in natural landscapes. Deforestation is an obvious
example.

Because this is such an obscure request, you may want to
reply off-line and not clog up the list.

I will be grateful for any advice any of you wish to give.

You have my thanks in advance.

	Dean Graetz
