Bernhard, about http://geoimages.berkeley.edu/wwp1205/html/
BernhardVogl.html

Funny, I was tiring of landscape photography, after looking at WWP
entries through the alphabet. This is the third day, when I come to
the "V's". Yours is wonderful. It is not photography, it is the
vision, making it into art. The vivid colors of the tree leaves
against the sky is art in itself. Then the way the shadow of the tree
falls on part of the hillside is intriguing and builds space. Finding
the silhouette of the panographer and equipment let's me know who is
here. Reminds me of prehistoric cave art. The textures of the close
rock are beautiful Then opening to the light and the far blues of the
lake expands the vision, contrasting the far horizontal with the near
vertical. The cool with the warm is a large scale expression of the
starting blue sky vs. golden leaves. The block is a surreal stepping
stone to nothing. Or an anchor. I've come to identify with it. That's
me, sitting there in the middle of it all, grounded. The narrow path
with the leaf litter, every part is different but builds a whole. You
are teaching me what the art of a panorama can be. Thanks for
renewing my faith that there is a lot to this medium. The true
potential is largely unrealized.

I'm not sure that the aesthetic qualities inspired by your pano are
not in other panos I saw. It could be partly my mood, that I'm
creatively seeing it at this moment. The only way to tell will be to
finish the alphabet, then start at A and review them all again. So
many panos, so little time.
