Thanks for the response and the link. I'll take a look there for resources.

Meantime, in my frenzied novice pano-state, I:

1) Used a TRV 50 Sony consumer 1-chip video camera, 1.3 megapixel still shots
2) I didn't have a tripod so I stood on the deck of a ferry in San Francisco and shot around 12-14 shots turning, holding my breath, turning, holding my breath . . . Before I could finish, the ferry was backing out into the bay, so . . .um . . . we'll see. I haven't had time to look at the shots yet. I'll have to isolate them in Final Cut to convert them into stills.
3) My photoshop skills are OK.
4) I'm looking for a pano-thangamabob. It'll be rough and coarse, of course, but if I can spin it around my screen I'll be happy. And then maybe, someday, pixel purrfect.
