Just a small observation on your shots, i think you had focusing problems during the shot... try the Hyperfocal approach, works just fine! Check out the shots at my site www.samirahmed.com, all done with Sigma 8mm.

  great panos. I can?t see any "handheldaberrations". For handheld the 
  5-pic-methode is good, because of speed. Specially if peoples are 
  moving arround maximum would be a monopod (but is that "handheld" > 
  see the discussion with Bernhard)

  The sigma is a great lens, but anyway, to jump over the boarder it is 
  not the one ore the other 8mm, but more than 5 pics with more than 
  8mm. 
  I made PANOS with 30mm (sigma 15-35) and printed to 1,5m and it is 
  super.
  But for monitor viewing the 5 pics for 360? of the Sigma 8mm is 
  enough, I think.
