I think I have found my transportation subject matter. I hope to complete a
spherical on a 75 year old wooden "R" boat. This sailing vessel looks
similar to the 8 meters of America's Cup fame but smaller ( about 40 feet vs
90 feet ) and built to conform to the letter rule rather than the meter
rule. I have sailed on this vessel for a number of years and she is
wonderful to helm. I will not be able to use a tripod in the cockpit as this
is not a very roomy or stable area. So I will try to clamp the centre post
from said tripod to the cockpit coming. As the boat will be heeling over
while sailing, setting the horizon may be tricky, that and the 30 shots that
I normally shoot for a pano. Now if the weather will cooperate with a nice
SW breeze in the 6-8 knot range and a good sunset sky. What are the chances?
