In Slovenian language (it is my 'mother tongue' :

different comparing with other 'modern' languages - it has over 50
dialects!) the playpen means "stajica", which comes from 'staja' -
which means "cattle-pen" - so it is basically a children-pen... but as
a 'pet-form'... complicated? ...
