I hope so - Landis has these files, and since my
Photoshop is still at 7.0, i can't even read his CS3
PSDs any more. A PNG with alpha would be good, at
least as a source image (PNGs with "real" alpha
channel and browsers... has this gotten better in
recent years, or do some market share leader browsers
*cough* still not play nice?)
The problem with GIF was the soft edge into the
background which GIF can't handle that well. A PNG
with alpha might be helpful to at least feed the image
generator script (need to add a function to compose
the PNG with a background color on the fly and
returning a JPEG).
