I'm interested in how others view this interpretation of the theme - http://www.bhphoto.biz/beach/beach.html
I had in mind an artist, whose name I cannot remember, who depicted a scene by using ruled
lines of colour ( watercolour) with no additional form being represented. The idea of
abstracting a scene until it is only shown as colour and tone isn't new but I thought that I
would give it a go with a panorama. Initially shot as a full spherical it just didn't work - the
distortion at z and n was unpleasant. I think that it does work as a cylindrical - actually it
works even better as a static single image - maybe this technique just doesn't translate into a
pano medium?
I did shoot an alternative 'conventional" pano at another location but decided to go with this
- hopefully it is acceptable within the rules/spirit - any comments?
