readying the final version

Landis, Markus, and I have been working quietly behind the scenes for
the last couple of days, pulling together the loose ends for Sanctuary
- A World Wide Panorama. It is almost final now.
The plan is to make the site generally available at 4 pm PST, six hours
from now, sort of a compromise between a few hours late for east of
Europe and a few hours early for those of us west of the Atlantic.

If you are impatient you will just get the placeholder page that has
been up for the last week. If you still don't get the new home page try
emptying your browser's cache. The preparation server will be offline
while I am preparing the final site.
Please do not send out publicity about the site until it is actually up
and running. But once you have confirmed that it is available, tell
everyone!
I will have some announcement and press release examples for you later
today. You may use these or write your own. If you translate any of my
examples into another language, please send me a copy.
