A reminder that there is just one day to go before the WWP preparation
server closes so we can prepare the final site.
Currently we have 193 completed submissions - the same as "Sanctuary"
but fewer than "Marketplace" or "Water". But there is always a last
minute rush, so we will probably top 200.
The prep server will be opened again a week or so after the event
debuts, to allow a few late submissions (by special arrangement only)
and corrections. But don't count on this - get your pano up and your
text written and proof-read today.
There has been some discussion about multiple language support. Three
months ago we added translations of the top level pages into 18
languages. If anyone is willing to add a language we don't have, please
contact me.
Additionally, any participant can add a caption in one or two languages
(in addition to English) for their own page. Just click the green "Add
Extra Text" button below the caption area (right above the
coordinates/map block).
The "Energy" event is looking really terrific, with many outstanding
panoramas. Combined with the earlier events the WWP site now comprises
a showcase of almost 1400 VR panoramas (and a few object movies)
contributed by 533 individuals.
