Help PTgui Nikkor 10.5 lens setting
thinnairstudios 2005-Oct-08 21:06:00
Hi Friends,
I am sorry for posting this in the WWP forum. I can not find the
answer anywhere else. I have and read many tutorials and I am at my
whits end. I have applied for membership at the panotools group but
have not received an email from them yet.
Could someone please direct me to a resource for correctly setting
lens settings for the Nikkor 10.5. All resources I have read talk
about printable panoramas. I want to do a equirectangular 360x180
pano. And none mentions a "full frame fisheye" lens like the 10.5mm
What lens type should I pick. Fullframe, Rectilinear....? And the
folcal length??? is this in 35mm equiv or can I enter the known
values. I tried using the exif data but that does not work either. I
am defintily confused. The images are portrait.
Funny thing. I have tried multiple lens calculators and they all give
totally different values. None has been the same. Is the Nikkor
10.5mm some mysterious lens that is top secret....LOL just frustrated
Ptgui comes up with a different lens optimization every time I try
something. I even managed to get the images to stich up side down.
ARRRGGGGG.
Totally confused?
If this post is not appropiate for this group please delete it.
I don't want to contribute to this list being another "pano list". :)
I am also sorry for my previous ramblings on non related WWP stuff.
I can be reaced at "#removed#"
Thanks
