Thank you very much for joining this list. The response has been wonderful and we're
looking forward to quite an exciting event.
As you can probably tell we're still in the process of building up our membership and
many of our messages have been going to other email lists and forums. Starting next
week we'll be posting most of the details and information on this list primarily. In fact,
today's email with all the details will be posted to this list next just to keep you informed
of what's going on.
The WWPano website (http://geoimages.berkeley.edu/wwp.html) is a little behind right
now. It has some basic intro material, but it will be fully active on Monday.
If you haven't done so please fill in the database with some basic information on who you
are and where you'll be taking your panorama (http ://groups.yahoo.com/group/wwp/
database).
This is looking to be quite an exciting event. So far we've gotten responses indicating we'll
have at least 5 continents (know anyone you could encourage in South America or
Antarctica?) and over 50 people. We're hoping to get to at least 100. If you know anyone
who isn't yet signed up and would enjoy participating, please invite them over.
