So the next WWP event is officially underway - Best of 2005.
Announcements have been sent out to the lists. The WWP site and Yahoo
group page have been updated. The preparation server is ready for
action.
I am very much looking forward to seeing what everyone has to offer.
With a whole year and the entire world to choose from I expect amazing
variety. As we each gain experience and improve our skills the quality
keeps getting higher.
But now the big decision - what do I submit myself as my best of the
year?
I made several trips early in the year to the deserts for an
exceptional wildflower bloom. It was also a great year for waterfalls
in the Sierra, and I made three trips to Yosemite. Then there were my
island adventures, the Channel islands off Southern California. In
midsummer I migrated north, following the Rockies up into Canada, and
was blessed with good weather. So many great subjects, 800 panoramas in
all, how to choose?
Or maybe my best of 2005 has yet to be taken? It's a brilliant clear
day here, maybe I should tear myself away from my computer and get out
my camera and tripod...
