What is Macaronesia? I have never heard that term.

Turkey is definitely a problem to classify. Kemal Atat?rk moved it
culturally from the Middle East to Europe, and it is now a candidate
to join the European Union. Hagia Sofia may have started out as a
Christian basilica, but it has been a mosque for over five hundred
years now. Most of the country, and the capital, is in Asia Minor
(Anatolia), but the largest city is mostly on the European side.

To make our classification harder, one of the WWP entries actually
looks across the Bosporus.

I think Landis made the initial decisions on regions,. I will ask
Murat Germen, our Turkish panographer, what he thinks.
