I do not know how you managed to stitch this but 2 rows at 45 degrees 
can NOT cover the 180 degrees needed.

I have both 10D 20D and 5D + a 15mm Canon fisheye and I know it is 
impossible.
The 15mm covers max 88 degrees on the 10D and you can not cover it all 
at 45degrees.
They will not even overlap at the horisont.

You can do 8 images at -30 and +30
This will give you enough overlap and you can do 1 image for Zenith and 
1 for Nadir.

And I am quite sure that PTGui can manage to generate auto 
controlpoints for that.
