wwp@yahoogroups.com: In favour of a webring Carsten T. Rees 2006-Jul-06 20:33:00
I would like to second the idea of a webring. A webring would not have to draw traffic from
the WWP-site - quite the contrary could be possible.

Consider the bar of linked images on the standard panorama page just below the
panorama. This could be modified thus:

On the left there is a linked image "Previous panoramic website"
On the right there is a linked image "Next panoramic website"
In the middle there is a large linked image "The World Wide Panorama"

We could place this bar on our start webpages or on some other prominent page of our
websites.

The links from the WWP pages to our websites do exist already. So there is some "leakage"
already and there is no additional "leak" necessary. But we would al place a link-bar on our
pages indicating that the WWP stands in the center of world wide panoramic efforts,
enthusiasm and community.

And yes of course, by linking oneself - by link and submission - to the WWP, a project of
such high standard and professionalism, a bit of this sun could shine on our sites. (Sorry
the last bit is from a German metaphore which I could not find an English equivalent for).
