wwp@yahoogroups.com: Software/Hardware suggestions-one-shot options? Don Preisler 2006-Oct-19 20:56:00
I'm currently using a Peace River panohead, a Nikon D70s and VR Worx
2.5 software. My result are of excellent quality but I need to produce
these nodes quicker. We have a lot of new construction and shooting
VR's is but a portion of my job.

I want to look into a one-shot system. I like to have people in my
panos. Currently I do not. I'm shooting 12 frames per node. I've tried
in the past to include people but have had problems with overlapping
images, stray body parts, etc.. I cannot take control the subjects in
a situation like a surgery for the sake of non-blurred images.

I was looking at (via the web) at:
Kaidan 360 One VR, the PhotoWarp software and possibly Tourweaver
software. Before I start calling thos companies I wondered it anyone
has comments on those products or suggestions for other products.

I do have a few questions like:
-Can I edit the flattened pano image in Photoshop for color
corrections, text labling, etc.. before it goes to the final output.
VR Worx allows me to do that. (I also clean up a lot of blood with the
Photoshop cloning tool)
-It looks like Tourweaver is a PC only product. Is there a good Mac
product for custom players and map/compass imtegration? I know
Livestage Pro is an option. Nothing against using a PC, for a specific
phase of the process, but most of the workflow needs to be done on my mac.

Thanks for all the great replies on my previous question. The one-shot
products are expensive and need to be well-researched before I make a
proposal. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
