With all the discussion about possible enhancements to the WWP there
are some comments that resonate with me; first and foremost I totally
agree with Landis that keeping it simple is a high priority. My vote
would also be with those who prefer 'Event' to 'Contest'.
That said though I do find the idea of a way for all visitors to
comment on the contributions (linked to the contribution for all to
see like Flicker for instance) to be very intriguing. I'd certainly
like to have feedback on my contributions but feel that asking for it
within this discussion list is not appropriate/possible for all
contributors - and it wouldn't include the whole audience.
I'm also very much aware that the effort to produce what exists now
is way over and above the call of duty and so would be very hesitant
to push for or even request additional efforts from our all volunteer
staff. The WWP is extremely successful in its present form. Lets not
risk adding to the workload to the point that people burn out.
