wwp@yahoogroups.com: Comments; a simple solution John Fellers 2007-Jan-04 22:30:00
Here is a simple solution:

Everybody in favor of comments go through the 300 + entries in the current
event (to be totally fair, maybe you should include the previous 11 events
as well.) Email good, bad or indifferent feedback directly to each
participant's email account. Make sure to include [wwp-feedback] in the
subject line.

Those opposed: block all emails with [wwp-feedback] in the subject line.

Or, simply do what has always been done. Email the WWP list with your latest
and greatest and ask for specific feedback. Additionally you can do a
'vanity' search on Google to check your standings, and/or search out key
words relating to past contributions; then see where you are in the
listings.

No administrative overhead or additional coding/production needed.

Problem solved.

Just because someone doesn't like or agree with something doesn't mean
he/she's hysterical. You might consider rereading the comments of the
people who don't think it's a good idea to see if they're really
hysterical or if they just don't like the idea. Specifically you should
reread Victor Z's thoughtful response about the issue
http://tinyurl. <http://tinyurl.com/yactvy> com/yactvy and tell me what part
is hysterical.
