When we checked UNESCO website for Hawaii - lolani Palace was not on
the UNESCO list.
However, the Volcano sites are listed (old Unesco site)
at /site/409.htm. And Unesco's new webite at
http://whc.unesco.org/pg.cfm?cid=31&id_site=409.
Guess this is a partial explanation.
