wwp@yahoogroups.com: Similar video projection technology at 01SJ and Globarama? VR Panographer 2008-Jun-08 18:54:00
Hi All,

Last night I visited the "Urban Observatory" displayed at Circle of Palms in
San Jose, California, as part of "01SJ" digital art exhibiton, a Global
Festival of Art on the Edge, and found out the "Observatory" utilizes the
technology similar to KZM at Globamara.

Video projections, handmade translucent polyester resin and fiberglass
panels made up the observatory that functions for those both within it and
those around it. From the exterior, the projection illuminates the surfaces
and allows the video and images shown on the interior to be seen. The
cable-suspended handmade translucent screens onto which the projection
occurs, appear to float within the frame.

No shoes are allowed inside, as well as tripod. Here is the pano (

<http://360california.com/I>captured last night using monopod.

Enjoy,

Val T. Hoang
