Caroling,

if you do not trust PetitionOnline
(http://www.petitiononline.com/privacy-pets.html)

you still have some options to take action, I guess:
http://capwiz.com/illustratorspartnership/home/

For Non U.S. Visual Artists:
http://www.illustratorspartnership.org/01_topics/article.php?searchterm=...

Read the list of creator organizations that oppose the House and
Senate bills as currently drafted:
http://www.illustratorspartnership.org/01_topics/article.php?searchterm=...

This is a serious threat to anyone making a living from visual arts.

A more complete review by SAA:
http://www.stockartistsalliance.org/orphan.html

"...an Internet culture of disregard for the rights of copyright
holders, results in rampant Internet infringements of digital images.
Because they are prominently featured in online databases,
professional stock images are particularly vulnerable to such abuse."

This is what happened to the images of many of the WWP artists just
recently and this is what we should not allow to happen again.

Yours,
Tamas
