wwp@yahoogroups.com: elevation AGL in .kml files Gary O'Brien 2008-Jul-04 13:32:00
Hi, all:

Trying very hard to not be in the breakfast club this go-round...

I have generated a placemark in GE which reflects the elevation above ground level (AGL)
that the panorama was taken from. When I open this placemark locally, it shows the
location in 3D space.

However, I can't seem to get the elevation parameter into the WWP coordinates.

My placemark floats above the surface in GE, but when I copy and paste it into the WWP GE
interpreter, then download the wwp.kml file, my placemark is at ground level.

My GE placemark is set with an elevation of 100m relative to ground. The Ground-Space
slider is about 1/3 of the way from the left. The Extend to Ground button is checked.

My elevations page: http://128.32.102.88:8090/gen/edit/wwp608/html/GaryOBrien.html

Am I missing a step, or just misunderstanding how this works?

Looking forward to seeing everyone's work!

best regards,
Gary
