Briar,

We DO currently ship directly to New Zealand, but international
shipping charges necessarily apply. The Virtual Reality Photography
book is a significant volume, weighing close to three pounds.

Although I am in discussions with a company about international
distribution, if they wind up doing it, they will still have to
recover their costs of shipping volumes of the book to international
distribution points, as well as the costs of local shipping to buyers
ordering in-country. All of these costs normally get passed on the
the end users via a distributor's local pricing.

I have no idea whether this will even work out at this time, and
certainly have no feel for how a third party distributor will price
the book to buyers in non-U.S. countries yet. For all I know, at this
point, the result may be very similar to what we charge for shipping
direct, depending on destination countries.

Currently, shipping and handling for international orders is $20 more
than for U.S orders via the vrphotography.com web site. That actually
represents a slight loss for us on each international book shipment.
But I am well aware of the significant shipping costs for buyers, and
want to keep these as low as possible, even if I lose a small amount
on these international expenses. I want to make the book as readily
available as I can to VR photographers throughout the world.

We remain a relatively small community overall (at least compared to
the scope of the international photographic community), and I want to
continue to support our group as much as possible.

Regards,
