I've got a couple of forest ideas I'm playing with and I also like the idea of "4 seasons".

One location I'm considering also brings in "limits" - we have areas called "significant environment area" that are sometimes just the space between private land and public roads. "Significant roadside environments". They are usually patches of remaining native vegetation, or stream catchments, in a largely untouched state that the local councils are trying to preserve. Small patches of what was once a vast open Eucalpyt forest, hemmed in by encroaching human development. There are "limits" all over - limits on what can be done by humans and animals in and on these areas - eg no grazing animals, no bike tracks; limits on how far the vegetation can re-grow.

The other forest is a small mixed conifer forest, old for man-made plantations around here. Full of birdsong, living, dead and fallen trees and pine cones. It could be interesting to chase up some history on it's origins and would also be interesting to catch in 4 seasons.

That's two that spring to mind so far ...
