Is it a photo or a painting?

My new camera took an abstract color photo that was easy to make into a panorama, given 16:9 wide angle proportions. In the making, in Photoshop, I played with the seam and a bit with the N and S poles. So is it a photograph with earthly coordinates? Or have I crossed the boundaries of photographic panorama editing and turned it into a painting? In my view, this is a record of the time and place that my camera made, so I'd say my region is USA-Florida. But alternatively, I could say my region is Artistica (non-photographic) Panoramic Paintings
It is a photo that looks like a painting.
I know few of you would think this is an interesting decision. But I thought maybe there are some definitions out there, maybe some discussions that I've missed or forgotten, that would be a guideline in this sort of situation.
